Recently I’ve been dipping into the world of 3D audio. I’m interested in its various possibilities in installations, games, linear media and possibly in educational use as well.

However, to be able to work with 3D sound I needed a pair of head tracking headphones.

Luckily and very conveniently, at Aalto University where I have started in a Sound in New Media programme, we happened to have a programming course focusing on physical interaction stuff with Arduinos and sensors. So I ended up making my own head tracking headphones!
